Where is the custom_strings_inc.php file?

This file is located in the Mantis root directory. If you don't find the file you can create it (this file is not part of the Mantis archive to prevent modification during upgrade).

After creating the custom_strings_inc.php and adding the configuration line, the Plugin Manager page displays the following message instead of the Column headings Strings:

APPLICATION WARNING #300: String 'xxxxx' not found.

This is really 'xxxxx' or you have changed the value?

I should be more specific when reporting the issue:

On the Main Page after logging in, i received the following two lines at the top of the page:

require_once( dirname( __FILE__ ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'plugins' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'pluginmanager' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'lang_inc.php' );

APPLICATION WARNING #300: String 'plugins_pluginmanager_page_title' not found.

a. The first line is the one i added to the new custom_strings_inc.php file created and placed in the Mantis Root directory.
b. The second is the actual error msg being displayed.

When open the Plugin Manager all Text fields which are attempting to retrieve String values from the Strings_English.txt file produce the same type of error msg.

In the custom_strings_inc.php file you should have the following lines (with no empty line before "<?php" and after "?>"):

<?php

require_once( dirname( __FILE__ ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'plugins' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'pluginmanager' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'lang_inc.php' );

?>

Please bear with me, as i am still learning how to use Mantis and PHP...

While still logged into Mantis, i corrected the custom_strings_inc.php file by adding the <?php ... ?> tags, and this corrected the problem for all the plugins installed i have installed (Plugin Manager, Bugsin, Hierarchy, and Reminder).

However, when i log out of Mantis, close the browser (tested using both Firefox and IE6) then reopen the login page, the browser page is blank and the following is display in the address window:

[localhost]

If the custom_strings_inc.php file is deleted, the login page is being displayed.

The blank page is a known bug of the Bugs-in plugin: #69. I'll post on the bugtracker the file to fix the issue (new release is coming probably this week-end).
