Since C:\other\InstantMantis\root\mantis\dokuwiki\lib\tpl\default\main.php on line 18 appeared to be the source of the issue I tried a few things...

Additionally I located the installation of ..\php4\pear and changed the include path, but still get the afore mentioned error.

Ok, so I have searched for a resolution to this one, but have not found one close to my issue.
I followed the 'new install' procedures of downloading the very first version of Wiki, decompressed to the Mantis root folder, and "Patch the MANTIS_ROOT/core/wiki_api.php file: rename the wiki_call function to wiki_call_old".

Was I correct in copying the extracted packaged (.tar.gz) files to the \root\mantis\ directory? I us

I'm sorry, but I know next to nothing about php,,, I'm picking a few things up as I go. Where at the end of the core.php??
Do I copy from the beginning <?php tag to the end ?> tag, or just what is inside the tags to inside the tags within the core.php.
EDIT:

Hi, first I will say I have searched the English forums for my issue and have found a few items that assist me with understanding some of the php coding is. But I still have an issue with installing the PluginManager 0.4.0.
I have Mantis 1.1.6 running with mysql-4.1.16-win32 and php-4.4.2-Win32.
I had the pluginmanager installed a while back but had to rebuild the server as it were, so I do
