Well a simple suggestion, if mantis supports more sql enignes than MySql, this useful tool (plugins) should support them too.

I think that PgSQL is OK too.

MSSQL is not free sad smiley

oh I see, well SQL Express its free and maybe its ok to test with it, plus I think the changes on plugins are those "`" chars and change the "function" and "file" columns on plugins tables, because ms sql reads them as reserved words.

2) I'm not sure that SQL express and MSSQL have the same behavior.

You still can use VirtualBox or VMware for virtualization and use Windows + SQL Express hehe; and SQL Exrpess is based on the same engine so there is only size and extras limitations. winking smiley
