Problems installing Plugin Manager on Mantis 1.1.1

Hi,

After installing Plugin Manager 0.2.1 and navigating to the site I get the following error:
<error_message>
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.
</error_message>
I backed that version out and tried 0.1.0 and when I go to the "[...]; page I get redirected here: "[...]; with nothing displayed on the page.

Any tips on getting this installed on a brand new installation of mantis 1.1.1? Did I miss a configuration file that needs to be edited first?

Wow quick reply.. I actually was just about to post that I was trying this while logged in as a manager, not realizing that there was and admin role. It got much further as admin, but still has some failures:

Check packager version 0.1.0
Plugin name Plugin Manager
Plugin version 0.1.0
Check the Apache version No test performed/required
Check the PHP version OK
Check the SQL version No test performed/required
Check the Mantis version OK
Check the Plugins version OK
Install or Upgrade? Install
Check install script OK
Install the plugin
Step 1 / 3: SQL upgrade OK
Install the plugin
Step 2 / 3: Patching files FAIL
Install the plugin
Step 1 / 2: Patching files FAIL
Install the plugin
Step 2 / 2: SQL upgrade OK
Restore old files OK
Installation FAIL

I probably missed something else obvious, or trying to install as a manager broke something, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

The webserver (Apache probably) must have the write access to the mantis root directory (on each file).

Unix command:
chown apache.apache -R /var/www/html/mantis
That was it.. I thought I had write access, but the way apache is running on are system I had to give everything 777 access to get the plugins installed.

Thanks for your help!
