Uninstalling/Re-installing
Hi, it seems that I made a mistake in installing it originally. So I uninstalled the pluginmanager and deleted all the files off the server. However, when I try to transfer over the files again and reinstall it, it gives me an error on the page, basically it totally breaks down my mantis.
Are there any other files that I have to restore/delete?
Thanks.
Hi,
What is the error?

APPLICATION ERROR #401

This seems to be the culprit.
OK, the database seems to be corrupted. Right now, is the plugin installed (I mean, plugins_*.php are installed in the mantis root directory)?
What is your mantis version, your database server (MySQL, other)?

Yes, the plugin...phps are all installed in the mantis root directory.
When I remove the plugins folder and the plugin...phps, Mantis is back to normal. When I reinstall the plugins, it gives me that error.
My Mantis version is 1.0.8, I& #039;m not 100% sure about the database server - will have to ask.
You removed the plugin with a rm or by using the uninstall link?

I initially used the uninstall link and that didn& #039;t remove all the files from the server so then I manually deleted those specific files.
OK, so keep the files installed, I& #039;ll prepare a patch...

The patch:
In the core.php file, comment this: <?php
/*if ( file_exists( dirname( __FILE__ ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'plugins' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'pluginmanager' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'core.php' ) ) {
require_once( dirname( __FILE__ ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'plugins' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'pluginmanager' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'core.php' );
$g_plugins_manager_core = ON;
}*/
?>
In the custom_strings_inc.php file, comment this: <?php
/*if ( file_exists( dirname( __FILE__ ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'plugins' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'pluginmanager' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'lang_inc.php' ) ) {
require_once( dirname( __FILE__ ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'plugins' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'pluginmanager' . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'lang_inc.php' );
global $g_plugins_manager_lang;
$g_plugins_manager_lang = ON;
}*/
?>
Download the patch and copy it in the mantis root directory. Browse the patch with a browser (http://.../mantis/patch.php).
Uncomment the previous comments.

Thanks a bunch, that seemed to have worked!
So I currently have 0.1.0 pluginmanager but I wanted to upgrade to to 0.1.3, which is the latest.
Do I simply download the 0.1.3 pkg and upload via the plugin-manager or is there an official way of doing so?

If your Mantis installation is connected to Internet you can just click on the link Upgrade (you need to check the box "Check upgrade" before) or you can download the package and upload it with the plugin manager 0.1.0.
